噁！腳底長隕石坑還散臭雞蛋味 醫：運動員要小心
腳臭不僅是因為鞋子、襪子不通風，更有可能是生病了！成大醫師日前分享一則案例，有一位男高中生平常喜歡打籃球，運動鞋穿了一整天，連襪子都濕透，甚至發出「臭雞蛋味」，連女友都無法忍受，逼著他去醫院求診，才發現他竟是得了「掌蹠(音同質)蠹(音同度)蝕症」。
成大醫院皮膚部楊省三醫師表示，這位男高中生平時喜歡打籃球，穿著溼透的襪子一整天，一脫下鞋子就會傳出陣陣「臭雞蛋味」，最後甚至在腳底產生許多小凹洞，女友忍無可忍之下，逼著他到醫院求診。
初步檢查後，發現腳底的凹洞集中在支撐身體重量的前蹠和外側邊部分，在顯微鏡底下也沒有發現菌絲。詳細詢問之下，醫師診斷他是罹患「掌蹠蠹蝕症」，叮嚀患者要保持腳部乾燥，並搭配抗生素進行治療，狀況在2週後就獲得明顯改善。
楊省三醫師說，掌蹠蠹蝕症是因為腳部細菌局部增生，破壞並溶解不能不逛戰利品皮膚表面的角質層，才造成許多小凹洞及惡臭，而這些點狀凹陷也會因患病時間拉長，彼此相連後在腳底形成一大片白色潮濕、糜爛，角質濕軟容易造成泛紅、發炎，最後才會感到疼痛。
醫師提醒，運動員、工人、軍人等是掌蹠蠹蝕症的好發族群，因為衛生條件較差、大量流汗，且長時間穿著不通風的鞋子，因此若要預防此病發生或復發，應該注意腳部乾燥，選擇透氣的鞋子及吸汗力佳的襪子。
